FAQs
Are dogs allowed on the showground?
No, dogs are not allowed on the showground, with the exception of assistance dogs. Please do not leave your dog unattended in the car – there is no shade in the car park and the police will be called if it is reported as showing signs of distress.
Is there a charge for parking?
No, parking at The Garden Show is free for all visitors.
Is there disabled parking?
Yes, disabled parking is available near the showground entrance.
Are mobility scooters available to hire?
Yes – Event Mobility will be providing electric scooters and manual wheelchairs for disabled, elderly and mobility impaired visitors at the show to hire. To reserve an electric scooter or manual wheelchair please book online at www.eventmobility.org.uk.
Please be aware that all mobility units must be booked in advance.
Can I leave the showground and come back in?
Yes, you can come and go as you please on the day of your visit, so long as you get your hand stamped on the way out.
What facilities/amenities are provided at the show?
There are portaloos (including disabled portaloos) on the showground, a baby changing & nursing tent and a cash back service at the Information tent.
To help you find your way around, a showground map will be on each of the What’s On boards that are dotted around the showground – these will have up-to-date locations for all the services.
Are there any accessible/baby changing toilets?
Each block of toilets (portaloos) will have a wheelchair accessible unit. These are designed as a versatile toilet unit that has ground level access, extra wide doors, flushing toilet, hand sanitiser, handrails and a baby change table, enabling wheelchair, scooters and pushchair users the use of toilet facilities.
These units are made to comply with the requirements of the 2010 Equality act which superseded the 1995 DDA. Both acts state ‘all service providers must take reasonable steps to provide disability access to adequate facilities’.
The benefits of the bigger units is that more than one person can fit inside enabling a carer or relative to offer assistance if required and the door is more than big enough to allow a scooter or wheelchair access. Unfortunately, some people require more assistance than others and we regret that we are unable to offer High Dependency Units.
Is there any seating in the showground?
There are benches dotted around the showground, and plenty of tables and chairs available in the food areas.
Can I bring a picnic to eat at the show?
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring a picnic to the show. There will also be a range of delicious food and drink on offer at the show.

Showground
Please be aware that the showground is on grass. It is all fairly level and flat, however the ground quality will depend on the weather preceding and during the show. Facilities
There are long wooden benches dotted around the showground, as well as multiple seating areas with tables and chairs, some of which are under cover (these will be marked on the showground map as ‘Shaded Seating’).

To help you locate facilities, there will be a copy of the showground map on each of the ‘What’s On’ A-Frame boards dotted around the site.
